In great news for the community and the local ecosystem alike, Central Coast Council has announced that it will no longer be selling off over 25 lots of community public land for operational use.
In a recent Council meeting, the Administrator resolved to stop the Land Sale Strategy of more than two dozen reserves, parks and greenspaces in the region, including several earmarked lots in Woy Woy, Tacott, Lisarow and East Gosford. Each of the 25 reserves, parks and greenspaces are now safe from reclassification and sell-off. Mr Reynolds also resolved that council engage the community through a new program of 'Adopt a Park'.
Many community members and groups are responsible for the preservation of these important community and recreation spaces. What a wonderful demonstration of community spirit!
