Gosford Regional Community Services is very proud of our commitment to the Environment.
We are passionate about protecting our natural environment and maximising learning opportunities for our community through Workshops and Open Days, Works Experience, Student Placements and more.
North Gosford Wyoming Community Garden
Our Community Garden was the Winner of the Best Culinary Community Garden 2017, Best Theme or Specialty Garden 2017, awarded honours in the 2016 Gosford District Garden Competition, and took out the Waterwise Garden award in the 2015 Gosford City Garden Competition, and hosts regular workshops and open days for members of the community to get involved. Garden beds are made available to members of the public for a low annual fee and we provide assistance and support where needed. We run a wide range of classes and workshops covering all aspects of natural gardening techniques.
The Point Clare Community Garden
Located at the Point Clare Community Hall, this garden was established in 2016 and is supported by an enthusiastic group of local residents. A communal style garden with regular working bees, new members are always very welcome.
The Dunbar Way
North Gosford sees our newest project which will kick off in 2018 as a partnership project with Pacific Link Housing. A workshop, exercise area and upgrade of facilities will take place. If you happen to live in this area we would love to have your involvement.
The Wingello Creek Tributary Regeneration Project
Our Creek Regeneration Project to bring Wingello Creek back to life is now complete. The difference in the area since we started this project in 2012 is amazing with thriving native plants along the creek bank. Stage 1 was completed in 2015 and Stage 2 in 2017. The local fauna, including a small wallaby population, are loving the new environment.
