In a few weeks, Australians will vote in the referendum. We will be asked to recognise Indigenous Australians in the constitution for the first time and give them a say in the policies and challenges that affect their communities.
We will be holding an info session next Tuesday 19th September here at Wyoming Community Centre at 11:30am.
Our guest speaker is Corinne Hodson who will be talking about The Uluru Statement of the Heart and The Voice to Parliament.
Corrine is a Wiradjuri Ngunnawal woman with family links to the Riverina of NSW. She grew up in the Pilbara of WA and moved to Sydney in 1997 where she began working in the communities of Waterloo and Redfern. Corinne moved to the Central Coast 10 years ago and she is an active member of the Darkinjung Aboriginal Community.
